The Battle of Kings Mountain is a unique opportunity for the Patriotic organizations to join forces with the Overmountain Victory Trail Association to celebrate a seminal battle in the fight for American independence. The Battle of Kings Mountain brought the first light of hope to a nation whose fighting forces had otherwise been overwhelmed by the British at Charleston, Camden and the Waxhaws. On a warm fall day, the people pictured below gathered in South Carolina to celebrate the victory anew.
