The "turning point"; a much-needed victory; a signal defeat; men from over the mountains: Kings Mountain is all these things, and much, much more. Perhaps that is why the Patriotic Organizations gather so much support to celebrate this event. When combined with the events of the Overmountain Victory Trail Association, this is "the" event to attend in the Carolinas. And attend they did. The Color Guard was out in force as were the Overmountain men, in all their finery (or homespun as the case may be). A most colorful event. Well, see for yourself .....
