"Why is it we are here?" some wondered. It is a good question. For the members of the SAR, DAR and CAR, it is a chance to get together with friends who often gather from all over the state to support each other in honoring American heroes and patriots. For some, it may be out of a sense of curiosity; for others, a chance to learn about history, or the life of a notable who made important contributions to their church. For whatever reason, the people gathered to honor the memory of James O'Kelley, American Revolutionary War Patriot.
